How do you measure a snowmobile track?

If a track says 121x15x1.00 then that means the total track length is 121", the width of the track is 15" and the lug (the little pointy things that are numerous the length of the track) would be 1 inch tall.  If you are wondering how to measure a track which is already on your sled, then you can either use a string length of just longer than 12 feet (121" would work well for a single person sled, 136" for a two person sled, and minimum 144" mountain sled) then measure for the exact track length.  Then measure the width with a tape straight across.  Then measure the height of the lug with that tape.
