  1. Ok well first it matters how old you are. If you're not going to grow anymore you can probably get a board suitable for your current height, if you are growing or plan to grow some more then get a snowboard a bit higher than your nose when standing on its end. So maybe anywhere from a 149 cm board to a 140 cm board provided its between this area (bottom of chin to nose). The boots should be exactly your shoe size maybe a half-size bigger so an 8 is alright too. Many boots can be heat molded to your foot shape (arch, toes etc.). bindings are typically compatible with most boots, but either way still bring your boots with you when you go binding shopping. Hope this helps!

  2. I have seen a blog just recently with all kinds of great snowboarding items like clothing, boots, and gear I also seen free video on there too for skiing and snow boarding it's a must see site just look around it's mixed in all the posts you'll see it it's enlarged text for the free videos,

  3. Congrats on taking up the sport!  I'm always glad to see other girls take up boarding!

For boots, many of the companies sell them under a "mondo" size, and you would be a 250 (but be sure to try them on--I find they run quite large, and I usually go down a half size--for you that would be a 245.

Most bindings come in three sizes--small, medium and large. You are right on the line between small and medium, so you'll want to try these at a snowboard shop (if you are ordering second hand off the net, I'd go with small).

Since you're a beginner, go for a smaller board with plenty of flex--don't let anyone talk you into a large board unless you are progressing really quickly. I probably would go for a 149 cm board, tops.

Be sure and go to a snowboard shop and try out a lot of different gear (even if you end up buying it used online, it's important to make sure your gear fits you--you don't want to have to turn around and sell it yourself because it didn't fit). A lot of places will let you rent gear so that you can try it on the slopes (always the best way to go).

    Good luck!

  4. A snow board should go to just about your chin....Don't buy boots that are a size too big so that you'll grow into them you should have a pair of boots that your toes just barely touch the ends if the boot is too big you could brake your toes *ow* As for binding get something that fits on yuor board and put the boots in the binding then without s******g them on see if the toe is either off the edge of still on the board if it is more than half an inch off the board get a like 5cm bigger board if it is too small get a bigger pair of bindings my sis is about 5'5" and she uses a 150cm GOOD LUCK I LOVE IT WHEN US     S SHOW GUYS "WE CAN DO IT TOO"!!!!!

  5. rent from a real shred shop till ur done growing there stuff will be good usually last years gear that way u can figure out what u want before u drop a lot of cash

  6. theres a lot of different ways that  people can decide what board is correct for your body size/type. im a really tall call and im suppose to have a really long board supposedly. but i like to ride a little bit shorter board. its just my preference and comfort. so decide for your self try a couple size combinations out shor/fat long/skinny long/fat short/skinny you get the idea. its totally up to your personal style and comfort of what board combinations you should be using dont let a formula tell you how you should ride
