Yes it does happene but if you get one and just take care of it..it will goo away..i had it and i just cleaned it everyday.

too prevent it all you can doo is clean it out 2 times aday..also take some warm water and salt and clean it with that about every night befor you go to bed. until its completely healed

NHD said everything I was about to say, as long as you keep in clean it should be fine. I had it the first time I got my nose pierced and I just took the nose ring out because it looked pretty bad.

i agree with both of them.

i had one, and it wasnt from an infection, it was caused by irritation and me bumping it all the time. I've been cleaning it with saliene solution and it went away within a week. it will go away eventually, just clean it everyday a few times a day and try not to bump it!

ps. i know saliene solution doesnt sound like it would work because its so random, but i was reading up about the bump one day on a piercers website and it said that that can be used to clean it-i thought i'd try it and it really worked, plus, it was a cheaper solution that you dont have to mix up every day like water and sea salt. Try it if you want! it worked very well for me!
