So, I've watched a couple British shows lately and they say " he was a "bit of a lad." what does that mean?

  1. Bit of a lad just means a bit sort of playful, and into football and drinking and 'laddish' things like that.

    But mainly it means a boy who likes football, drinking, maybe is a bit aggressive at times- y'know, a bit of a yob?
