So, I recently checked my credit and it says i filed for bankruptcy but i never did, what do i do?

  1. call your attorney general


  2. Dispute it. There should be a page on the website for this. They have the wrong info, and it's probably for another person.

  3. Dispute it with all three credit bureaus.

    When you pull your credit report there are links to dispute items listed.  

  4. Very simple, first let me mention that you should know that 90% of credit reports have an error. Second when you dispute the error with any of the three credit agencies they have 30days to conclude an investigation. So my suggestion is to 1st get your credit report from all three agencies then dispute the BK with which ever agency is the BK shows on.
