There is a photo of Sarah Palin from an earlier pregnancy showing a lot of fluid retention in her face that''s not present in the pictures you have linked.  so what you could be seeing is Sarah Palin wearing  a pregnancy suit .

I haven't seen any good explanation why Sarah Palin would fly from Texas to Alaska after her water reportedly broke and knowing she was giving birth to a Down's Syndrome baby. Perhaps you can post that when you find it.
