someone launches the first nuke (in a war) of the 20th century?

we have fighting between pakistan and india that recently flared in kashmir.

we have what seems is going to be a war between georgia and russia.

we have iran that is adamant about obtaining nuclear "energy".

we have north korea, who has dismantled most of its weapons and facilities, but still has some weapons.

we have israel and pakistan, which is just an everlasting source of violence.

we have china, a communist country in turmoil. and on top of that, radical muslims have promised terrorist attacks at the olympics.

not to mention that genocide in darfur, and around africa.

were trillions in debt, and a trillion of that is to a communist country who we are basically dependent on for our goods. were at the hands of the middle east, because we need oil.

so, how screwed do you think we are?

Just as screwed up as we were four hundred years ago. It's just that we are screwed up on a larger scale now.

The human race ain't ever going to change and what we are in now is just par for the course.

We had a short "Atomic" war in the twentieth century but that was all one sided and the side who recieved the explosive warheads are now celebrating another anniversary of the Hiroshima, and Nagasaki bombings.

I don't know "if" we are ever going to go to a nuclear war. If we did, I wouldn't know when. I don't think anyone can say for sure.

Sorry - it WAS the 20th century when the U.S. launched TWO nukes onto Japan in the 2nd World War.

don't forget about the conflicts in Mindanao between the muslims and the Philippine government

but yea... as screwed as we appear to be it's not like the world is going to end or anything catastrophic

in the 21st century I'd say we have at least 10 more years before the violence climaxes and the nukes start dropping
