So, how much does an actual veterinarian make and do they have to put the animals down?

you see i love animals and i would love to make them all feel better lol... but i dont think i would be able to put an animal down.. unfourchantly

Veterinarians in private practice who don't own their own business usually make $40 to $50,000 a year - not much for a doctor of medicine with 8 years of college!  

Yes, euthanizing animals is an inevitable part of being a vet.  It's not so bad when the animal is suffering, but putting down the healthy ones has got to be awful.

i'm not sure how much they make... but yes, you do have to put animals to sleep.
