So, i lost my debit card.?

so,im 14..so i have a debit card under usaa.

and i lost my debit card,is there any way they will...give me back the lost money? because i had $120.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW :/

You should phone your bank ASAP and also phone the police to see if anybody stole it.

Call the last place you were in and see if they found it (the store, the library, the mall or whatever).

Change the PIN of your bank card for security reasons obviously.

Also get a new bank account, just in case somebody memorized the number on your card.

First of all, you shouldn't be worried.  Don't panic.

If it's a bank check card, which is also a debit card, your money is guaranteed by either VISA or Mastercard, just like any other credit cards.  You will be able to retrieve your money if your money is lost due to identity theft or stolen cards.

Now, just call your bank and ask them to close your debit card.  It takes like 5 minutes.  But don't wait until tomorrow, just find the contact number and call the automated system.  They should have 24 hour service through telephone.  You can use their automated telephone service to report your stolen card and it will automatically stop your debit card instantly.

You should have the debit card canceled immediately.

You will get a new card with new pin issued.

The bank should give you the money, but it will take a while....

The bank may not give you the money if you failed to report it in a timely manner. Depends on the bank's policy...
