I have my anxiety during the day not night. Does this mean I can't take during the day because I'll be too drowsy?

  1. Antianxiety medication makes you drowsy, and it will do so until we come up with subtype selective drugs - which are in the works now, but doubtful that they'll completely elminate the sedation associated with anxiolysis.

Valerian is a pissy weak anxiolytic substance, but it's still an anxiolytic. You can take it during the day, but try it on a day with some free time. You don't know exactly how it will affect you if you're worried about it.

  2. * im not familiar with valerian but it sounds like it has a calming/relaxing effect, it most likely just makes u sleepy rather than drowsy...also it says take at night because it probably has duel uses, *ex: insomnia, anxiety etc.
