So, the Massachusetts girls who made the pregnancy pact...?

What in the world were they thinking?! I'm married with three kids, my college-educated husband has a great job... we still aren't rolling in money. What do you think their futures look like?

agreed..yes, adults who are in the situation understand it, high school students see the fun parts of it; having their own baby. They dont understand the difficulties of raising a baby, let alone they're probably going to be doing it as a single mother. You know those dad's arent going to stick around.

I feel sorry for these children!! It must be so terrible if they think this is the only way they're going to get love and attention. My 16 month old hates me and is mean!! lol

as a single mother of 3 I know these girls have made a big mistake. They just don't know how difficult it will be and I know all 17 of the boys will not marry them & they aren't mature because they would have thought this pact through. I had my 1st at 18 and it changed my life things became difficult because you are responsible for you and another person. Things change like you can't just go out partying u have to find a babysitter. then college will be difficult. baby get sick they can't go to daycare u will have to miss class, or anything.......OMG.....why have these girls done this....I just pray my little girl don't find friends like this and make a pact. well i took in my niece 3yrs ago who was a baby & my daughter hates it because I call on her to help alot so she says I will never have kids..I said good but it could change.  anyway I hope the girls get the resources needed to care for their babies....but wooooooooooow what a challenge they will face...believe me (from experience) and as someone said talking to your kid until you are blue in the face is needed.....then show them examples......i keep it 100% with my kids I let them now my mistakes & the consequences I have to pay for them I don't paint a pretty picture for them cuzz its not easy. There are good & bad days

I think parents need to be more involved in their childrens lives, I believe that they need to teach the difference between the 'celebrity/ and their childrens role models' and to keep them as models at a distance u know? my child will be taught to have a mind of her own, and i like my own mother will stress to my daughter the importance of waiting for the right person to lay down with before having s*x.

s*x is so casually tossed around these days, it aggravates the freaken h**l out of me that i cant turn on the radio without hearing some c**p about 'making love in the club'  or about 'how wet he can get my juice box'. ! REally!

and im not being a hypocrite or anything, i am hispanic and i do enjoy rap and R$B music, but there's a limit to what ppl should rap/sing about, geez for real!!!

Anyway, that doesnt even matter, as i was saying, where are the parents?

I know its hard, to be involved in your childs life and know everything that is going on, but be involved as much as you can! i am a single parent of a one year old and i pray for the strength to raise her the best that i can, and to make wise decisions in her future! but with these kids getting pregnant younger and younger these days! its just plain ridiculously sad!What can one person do?
