So, there's these two tall trees....

....that live side by side in the forest and a small tree starts to grow right between them.

One of the trees says to other "Is that little guy a son of a beech or a son of a birch?" Just then a woodpecker flies up and takes a taste of the small tree and says "Well, it's neither a son of a beech or a son of a birch. That, my friends, is the best piece of ash I have ever put my p****r in."

    Unfortunately, "ash" is the operative word here, as they have since burned to the ground. But new ash will spring forth and unfold it's delicate leaves towards the warmth of the sun...

  22. No ash here, just ASpen - Its a chore to haul the ash from an Aspen fire all winter round these parts, I'm a thinkin it's a medium wood, and the flickers just flock to them, tends to keep the peckers away!
