  8. It was the COMBINATION of the new COT car's down force that they have and the diamond cut surface of the track that caused the tire wear. It was unexpected being the 1st time the COT ran here besides when they tested back in April. It is called trial and error. Now they will make the improvements to correct this almost total disaster by doing more testing.
