For those of you that are/have been homeschooled. Apparently, because of a very bad thing that happened to me at school, I had to be pulled out of public school(but I DIDN'T get expelled). I'm a senior, and I'm about to graduate. So tell me, is it a good thing or a bad thing to be home tutored?

  1. i go to an online school im in 9th http://www.thegraceacademy.org/

  2. That all depends on your tutor and how motivated you are. As a homeschooler, it's easier to slip into the habit of cheating or not working, but it can also teach you self-motivation. There are also less opportunities to get help then you would find in a school.

Really, it just depends on you. If you trust yourself to be motivated and work hard, homeschooling is great; way better than public school.

  3. seems to be the best ever..........classes are great you learn faster and learn more...dont need no TEACHER to teach you....just depends on your states guidelines....and you can take any classes you want and as many as you need....and you are tested and if you do well that all that matters.......

be suprised at all one can learn if done at thier own pace and learn what they want and need without the public school system holding you back and holding you down..........

SKIES THE LIMIT..........IT all depends on you and what you need and want..........

I believe all people should be homeschooled and parents teaching thier children things to do in this life....not things that they will never use nor need  in the real world............ya go 12 years..and i the first 7 you learnt all they can really teach.....but at home you can learn all you want....and study any subject at your own pace...and learn faster and more of it....beyond the years you are.........and are better prepared mentally and emotionaly to handle the REAL world....not this socializing junk thye are teaching in public school.........but a real trade you can get a job with...not go 12 years and know nothing........when its over...then ahve to take another 4 years at college to learn something no one will hire you for........cause you will alwsy need something else or another class to qualify...........its all about the money...and getting tuition from the students...not the learning.......mostly the partying!!!!!!!!!!

So Homeschool all the way...........get a degree in something REAL !!!

  4. I think it's a good thing...I've been homeschooled for eleven years.

  5. For most it's good.  For a few it's not.  If you're a jerk and a sluff of you will lose.  If you're a worker and self-starter you will win.

But to be honest there is a MAXIM

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

    Good homeschoolers are very thirsty!

  6. It depends on what kind of person you are. If you are very social and love to talk and hang out with friends, private classes won't be good for you. If you're quiet and not very social, you'll adjust well. As far as the learning and everything goes, it will probably be better because you'll get individual attention and need to participate.

  7. It's great - the best thing that ever happened to me.

I am naturally a very sociable and outgoing person, (with a dose of too much self confidence that school might have fixed) so some people think I'd do better in school. But hey, the amounts of things I can go to, my swimming club, tennis, Lifeguarding - I know loads of people, not to mention the hundreds of homeschoolers in the area who become like a second family.

Okay, one of the main reasons I don't feel alone being tutored at home is because I do have a lot of brothers and sisters, so I'm never lonely. That really helps.

The only thing I think that makes a difference is what your parents are like. You can't be homeschooled if you have parents who like to do their own thing - homeschooling takes a great part out of a parent's life, that school doesn't, and it takes a very dedicated person to homeschool their child.

Also, you really do have to get along with your parent/s if you are going to be homeschooled. What's the point if you couldn't be bothered what they say, and the other way round?
