  1. These boys heal up quick. Im sure they will race round any problems they have.

  2. There is no question that it will have an effect. This has to be valid if for no othere reason that it has kept them off the bikes at a crucial development time of the year. Now I am not saying would it stop them winning or whatever, as who knows but in any case it must have an effect on their performance. If Hoppper wins by ten seconds then perhaps if he had not had the injury he would have won by fifteen seconds - in a very hypothetical instance.

All of the guys in the Moto GP line up are top notch performers and right at the peak of performance. Small differences can have huge results, so if one guy has had more time to tweak the bike and be running at 100% fitness then he for sure will be better placed than a guy riding at 85% fitness and having not ridden enough in anger to be at complete readiness.

  3. I haven't been keeping up with superbikes of late - is VR still numero uno?

  4. both riders are exceptional talents and i dont feel as tho either will be on the pace at quatar dani is a rider who needs everything going 100% for him to achieve and the hopper on new machinery it will take him a handful of races to adjust, but who knows these guys are unbelievable talents and could well surprise me and a few others, just hope the duke and casey suffer a mechanical problem so that vale can open up an early lead

  5. I think it will affect them. Certainly for the fist race, and maybe the next. Especially Pedrosa. Dani's not been able to test and develop his bike since day one of the first test in January.

Pedrosa recently made comments on him not trusting Nicky Hayden to develop the bike. I think some of those comments were lost in translation, and what he meant was that Nicky's style was so different to his that what might be good for Nicky, isn't necessarily good for Dani.

But although neither John or Dani will be 100% at Qatar, I'm sure they'll be fit enough to be fully competitive pretty soon after. Racers mend quickly, and I still think Dani has the potential to knock Stoner off his thrown.

Incidentally, Casey has just gone on record as saying that he thinks Dani will be his main threat this season. That should certainly fire Vale up!

  6. Its hard to say how badly injured the Pedrobot is. he refused to test in the wet in case he had an accident and it set back his recovery programme. he also thought the BMW Z4 wasn't worth the risk either. I agree with the misinterpretation of Dani saying that testing done by Nicky is useless to him. riding styles and weight distribution on the bike etc. as for Hopper, I think he may take a couple of races to get back to full fitness. but he will get there. probably ride for damage limitation. hoping to get a couple of points on the board.

  7. After watching the live coverage of Moto GP practice on Saturday, I must say Stoner looks like he will once again be unstopable. I'm a Rossi fan but I really think Ducati has it in the bag once again. Hopper has just had no luck at all, buty i think both him and pedrosa (especially pedrosa) will be out to prove they are in with a chance at Quatar next month.

  8. Hey Rossi

I feel it's got to, Hopkins perhaps more so than the Pedrobot having switched teams. Though they make so many changes over the closed season, ickle Danny might think he has a new machine.

I don't see either of them having the strongest start to the season, will find out more in testing I guess.

How many more times do you think I'll be typing "I can't wait!"

    Well - I can't!
