  1. No not at all,  thats why they make them.  As long as they are on good and tight its fine.  I have 3 children 10,7, 22 months and they all slept with them on the bed.  Good luck with the swap!!

  2. i had my daughters bumper on teh whole time

  3. you don't have to remove the bumpers.  there is thoughts that they are safe and other thoughts that they are not due to the risk of suffocation.  it really is your choice.  i chose to remove them, but i was also suffering from PP depression so i was thinking crazy anyway.

good luck, it won't be easy but it gets better!!!

  4. Yes, you should take them off.  The are a smothering and SIDS hazard. A bump on the head would be alot easier to deal with than him getting his face burried in the bumpers.

  5. No, leave the bumpers on.  Also it may help your son adjust if you have something with your scent on it.  Try putting a small (baby-sized) washcloth near him in the crib that you have rubbed on your skin or better yet that you have tucked inside your shirt.  Having something of you in with him may help him sleep better.  Good Luck!!!

  6. I kept them on with my son. He's fine just as long as there on tight. A little tip to help the baby with the big move you could start sleeping with the baby's sleeper at night and the next night if you put it on the baby it will help him because his scent will make him more comfortable. My pediatrician told me and every since then my son has been sleeping a lot better. GOOD LUCK!
