I'm trying to convince my parents about a cruise to Mexico for my graduation this coming summer. It would be family (of 4 including me) and my boyfriend (that makes 5 and he would pay for himself).... Now I've been on a few cruises before and Carnival and Royal Carribean were my favorites

What would be the cheapest way to book a 7 day cruise between late June, July or early August on either of those cruiselines

  1. Book over the Internet thru a place like vacations to go.  Go to several different sites and compare.  Book early and get the least expensive cabins they have. Get 2 cabins and have 3 people in one cabin and 2 in another and I think the 5th person goes for about half price (if they stay in the same cabin)  Also if you have cruised with them before and you book early, you will more than likely get upgraded to a better cabin, so get the less expensive and hope you get upgraded really good.  On one of the cruises we went on, we booked very early and got upgraded to the Lido deck which was great because that is where the food court and the pool is.  Good luck and have a ball.:)

  2. this site has useful cruise information

    http://allcruiselines.info

  3. shop the net for the best price you can find then go see a travel agent they can get you the best price, without all the added charges that some sites charge

  4. Use www.vacationstogo.com to compare cruises.

Notables...July-Nov is hurricane season.  June is peak season so prices are higher.

Be aware that the prices you see on the web are for the smallest cabin, double occupancy and does not include 1) port fees, 2) taxes and 3) the new fuel surcharge.  Be sure to have your travel agent include these fees in any quote you get.

A group of 5 will likely require 2 cabins.

If you book with Carnival, ask for the past guest discount.

Also, be aware of the changing requirements for passports for sea travel in 2008.  Keep up to date by reviewing:  http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbp... frequently.  We are booked for a June cruise and we went ahead and got our passports in advance.

  5. There is a bunch of useful information like articles, pictures, videos here to help answer your quetion.http://cruise.online-assistant.info/crui...

  6. vacationstogo.com thats where we find our prices however my mom usually goes throu a travel agent. were going on a cruise in Mach of this yea. and i have been on about 5 cruises but my favorite so far has been royal caribbean you cant beat that. anyways i hope you get your trip. any i hope that website will help its easy. and its cheap.

  7. OMG!!! Make sure you lay the guilt trip on them, you only graduate once!!! This is the time for a special celebration. Find out how much it will cost and tell them to start saving by putting that much away every month, tell your other family members grandparents, ect, and ask them for cash toward your cruise instead of birthday/Christmas presents, if you celebrate those holidays. Try www.findvacationsonline.com or www.wiitravel.com, they book tons of cruises with Carnival and get good rates, upgrades, and specials. Have fun!!!
