I mean,i'm only looking for my 1st job.an entry level job.not such a big deal, right?wrong!i've done like 6 kroger apps,4 Walgreen's,McDonald's,wal-mart,cvs,goodw... everywhere pretty much.i don't take that "the economy's bad" c**p,because that has nothing to do with it.people at my school are still being hired!i don't know anyone to "help" me get hired somewhere, but everything i've tried has failed.i've done apps, called AND went in person to check on them.no luck!one guy 2 wks ago told me he'd look at my application and never did,so i gave up on that(after stopping by twice to check on the app in the first place).

Do i send out a "do not hire" radar as soon as i step in a building.why do i never have luck with jobs?like seriously everyone in my senior class has a job, except a handful,me included.

Managers are never there when i go to check on an application&when they are there they're all crappy&rude.I have no idea what else to do.

I'm signed up on job search websites and everything.I can't babysit,i need a real,stable job.i don't do yard work.I don't want little odd end jobs,i want a real job.and i want it now.

  1. It could be that you are giving off negative vibes that make people think you feel entitled to the job but wouldn't work hard at it. Their impressions could be totally wrong but that is what they make their decision on. They want to see someone who gives the impression of being very positive and eager, even if it is a minimum wage job. Maybe you could practice with a pretend interview with someone and get their feedback on how you came across.

  2. Stop going for c**p jobs! You are worth more than that.

Go for a job that you might enjoy. Think what you like doing, working with kids? animals? retail?

Phone up the company BEFORE they advertise. Just call them, ask to speak to the manager and say "I hope you don't mind me phoning you, Im just enquiring to see if you have any vacancies...."

Better still, pop in to the store and ask to speak to the manager..

    Good luck & think positively!

  3. Obviously you are doing something wrong in the interview.  Look up Interview Tips on the internet.  Study them hard.

  4. i think your being a "NEGATIVE thinker".

that won't help u at all.

  5. review your resume, get a professional to do one for you. Also when you hand in your aplications dress to impress so wear black long pants a nice button up shirt do your hair and dont overdo your makeup keep it simple. also research the company a little. be cheerful n happy.

  6. Try dressing like you're going to church.  Also, work on your attitude.  You age might have something to do with the process, too.  If the company you're hiring has too many people your age, if you're under 18, then they won't have a position for you until someone either quits, gets fired, or turns 18.  There are many factors involved.  As for cutting grass, there's money in them-thar anthill-filled lawns!  People around here are getting $50 per yard for a half-acre house.  If you do 8 houses a day, five days a week, you'll be earning about $26,000 a year if you only work six months out of the year.  (That's $1,000 a week.)  So don't count out the "el-yuck-o" jobs before you check out how much pay is involved.  You might just find out you actually enjoy doing those jobs...

  7. clearly you need to update your resume I used this resume writing service in my area, this is the email address, (resume.help50@yahoo.com) you should try them, it only cost me $35.00 and I got a great job from this new resume, I never thought about the format that they use but the turn around time was less then 24 hrs. I would have to say it was the best service I have ever used and it was worth every dime. Also they let me pay through paypal

  8. After I had searched for years, I decided to just find one online and I did. You won't have overnight success, however you will have success. It is not a get rich scheme at all, but it can make you a real income. You can even do this, while you continue to find another job if you so choose!

    Good Luck!

  9. Have you ever heard the phrase "dress to impress" or "dress for the job you want, not the job you have". Well when you go for an interview dress up. Where khakis and a nice shirt, or suit (if you have one).

Then when you go for a interview, have a resume of all you activities and what you have accomplished..if you are a goal orientated person or  what are your goals. I hope this helped.
