some people on here say that you can have AF without ovulating. But what I was wondering is, when you see ewcm does that automatically mean you are going to ov? also I've read that you don't actually ov until the ewcm is all dried up...is that true?

  1. I don't think EWCM alone means you will ovulate, it's a good sign though!  From what I've read the EWCM is most abundant the few days prior to ovulation.  Good luck!

  2. I agree with Diana...EWCM is your body PREPARING for ovulation...but it can be delayed for any number of reasons and so the body might keep producing fertile CM while waiting.

Also it is true that you can have bleeding without ovulation but "technically" it is not a real period...it is called withdrawal bleeding which is the same as the bleeding you have when on the pill...

  3. Seeing EWCM is a good indicator that you are fertile (your body is preparing to O) but it does not PROMISE that you will. Some women get EWCM from when they are about to O and then sporadically until they get AF.

The only way to know for sure if you Oed is to take your BBT every morning. Once you ovulated your temperature will remain  elevated about 0.4 degrees until you get AF or if you conceived it will stay high.

    Good luck

  4. Hi.. Its true you don't have to ovulate to have a period always.

I think when you get the egg white it means you have or will be ovulating. but i am leaning more towards you will be because CM is important in getting the sperm to the egg.

And Im not sure bout it being dried up.. its possible?
