So I bought an aquarium...

i bought a 12 gallon tank and im getting a black ghost knife, a dwarf gourami, a clown loach, and a rainbow shark. all of them are between 2 and 5 inches right now, will they live fine together in 12 gallons? (i have plenty of places for them to hide, too)

  2. I agree with tropical crab, the knife fish will get bigger and so will the clown loach. The knife fish will most likely EAT the dwarf gourami! I say get a school of cardinal tetras, a dwarf gourami of any color and a school of cory's or kuhli loaches!  

  3. no, with those fish you need at least a 45 gallon for them to live comfortably.

    they may be small now, but they will grow

  4. Those fish might do fine in 12 gallons now but soon they'll have to have a bigger, wait, HUGER tank. Like a 250 gallon would be comfortable for them all.

    Your looking at possibly 38 inches of fish in a 12 gallon tank? That's a little crammed.

    But in terms of temperature those fish are all fairly closely related. 80 degrees fahrenheit would be a good temp for them.

    Read up before buying.
