and I want to get it colored. What colors do you think would look the best?

(btw, yes this tattoo has alot of meaning behind it. It has to do with a friend that passed away. Its a moon with a wing and clouds)

Here is a pic of it

  1. That's either a horrible picture or a horrible tattoo.  If you hadn't explained it to me I would've had a hard time figuring out what the clouds were.  Hopefully an artist can fix that for you.  I'd imagine light blues and purples in the wings, yellow for the moon, and grey and white for the clouds.  Make sure you shop around for a good artist though and they'll be able to suggest colors that will look great.

  2. Moon blue.

    Clouds yellow.

    Wing lavender.

  3. well I'm a grly grl u could say and I think it look nice =] if it has meaning for u then thats what matters, but still I rly like it

depending on ur nature get it coloured,

I would go w/....light blue for clouds....light pink for wings and white or...creamy for the moon...

u can try yeah purple for the wings...or like a darker shade for the clouds

  4. For the moon, do light blue and grey, and for the wings and clouds, do purples and blues. That's what I would do.

  5. I'm sorry for you loss, i just lost my grandpa last week and i am actually getting a tattoo for him soon. I would say a light, sky blue for the clours, a blue-grau for the wing, and yellowish shading for the moon. But i would go with whatever you feel you want and ask the artist who tattood you there opinion. They would be more help than i am. Again sorry for your loss and a pretty tattoo you have

  6. That looks small. So, I would be very careful about making it too dark. Also, I don't think that you should go with too many colors either, because the end result might look clownish.

So, I would talk to a good and reputable, licensed artist, and see what he/she suggest. You want to have a well intentioned look, and you do not want to loose your detail in too dark of colors. You also, want it to hold up well over time.

I would suggest light blue/gray wings with white highlights, darker blue moon with white/light blue highlights, and light gray/white clouds with white highlights. I think that even though white fades the quickest, if you use it for highlights and use sunblock always, it should hold up well, and maybe every 10 yrs. get a touch up on the white.

But, see what a good tattooist tells you.

Good luck, and I am sorry for your loss.

  7. shades of blue, darker for the outer part of the wings fading in to a light blue and then white for the body
