So I have a question about some books....?

Question

SO yeah on September 9th, I have to go in to surgery and again on the 12th, and after that I have to spend 4-6 weeks in a rehab hospital so yeah I wanna know if you have any suggestions for books for me. I'll read pretty much every thing but biographies and chic flicks. lol. So yeah, and also I'm 16 so yeah I don't wanna be reading something that's like a college level book. =P Thankies!!

A few recommendations:

Good time to check out Kurt Vonnegut, especially his early works.  Try Cat's Cradle, Welcome to the Monkey House, Sirens of Titan, Slaughterhouse Five, Breakfast of Champions.  All pretty deep on philosophical insight, but with a lot of humor as well.  Not to mention, Vonnegut is hands down just a great writer.

For something lighter, try the works of Kinky Freidman.  A real-life country singer turned candidate for governor of Texas, he's written about 20 mysteries casting himself as a detective.  All very funny but still decent mystery/detective stories.  Best part is the recurring group of characters based on people he's known and worked with through the years.

well the HP series (if you haven't read it already). Trudi Canavan's Age of the Five trilogy, George R.R. Martin's series (a song of ice and fire), classics are always great, Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice for example. If you're into a certain subject, you can get books on it. I love Science for example so i get books by richard dawkins. Good luck with the surgery!!
