I have an iPod nano and I was wondering this.

When it's connected and I look at it's content on iTunes, there is a section of my iPod for music, a section for "other" and a section for what's left to use.

The "other" space is taking up about 100 mb. What exactly is this "other" space?

Could it be my album art?

If not, can I use it?

  1. other is going to be anything that is not classified as music, videos or pictures. for instance, games that you download are classified as other. i think podcasts are too, but they might be videos...im not too sure.

  2. The ipod uses a type of memory called virtual memory. The 100mb used is the porgram that the ipod uses to run like all the names such as music, Games, Videos ect. ( all the menu titles and such) It also takes up space to have the games that came on it.
