So I just got my braces off...?

..and my teeth look huge now! And it's only the two front teeth!! SO I look like a bunny. Can the dentist shave the bottom a little bit? Because they look terrible. HELP!

The dentist does have a way of doing this but I would wait a little bit and let your gums settle. Also your dentist will know what is best for your teeth

the dentist is able to grind off the excessive part if you want

there's only a small amount that he can take off however because he'd hit your nerves

so you can probably get it done but talk to him/her for other options before getting it..

Trust me, that's just the way your teeth look to you after being covered by braces all that time. I had braces for three years, and when I got them off I was horrified at how big my teeth looked. But after I few days I realized everyone else said how great I looked, that it was in my head. You'll see. Don't panic.

Haha well I know how you feel. First of all, your gums are inflamed now, and you will prly get a retainer soon so you won't really notice it. And you may just not be used to seeing your teeth for real. But let the swelling go down before deciding on anything. If it truly bothers you after that, you CAN ask your dentist to file them down but speak to your orthodontist about it and your dentist. Good luck!

They can but it might not be needed, talk to the dentist, it might make your teeth not meet which means they wouldn't align so you wasted all the money on the brace.  It takes awhile to get used to the new look.  Good luck and God bless

idk dude let your gums resettle because i think they've been pushed back. i no nothing about braces but i think that that is the deal with that

Okay well they only look big because you are just used to seeing the brackets.

they changed my front four brackets last week and i got to see my teeth and i thought they looked abnormally large as well.

but youll get used to it(:

That wouldn't be very good, and would probably be very, incredible painful.  In fact, the pain would be excruciating.  Even with drugs, it would probably hurt later.

I would get my teeth whitened, and yea.

Haa, you made me giggle, a bunny? Well, who doesn't love a bunny? I'm sure your just over sensitive right now because your so used to seeing yourself with braces. Give yourself some time to get used to your new look. If in time your still not satisfied then talk to your dentist and parents about filing down your teeth. BUT, teeth are precious, I don't know if it's a good idea to do that. I'm sure your gorgeous, give yourself a break:o)

My friend was just talking about this!  They just seem that way at first/it goes back to looking normal on its own.
