So I know every pregnancy is different but...?

I can't help worrying about my current pregnancy. I am only 5 weeks but besides being emotional and tired I don't feel pregnant. This is my 3rd pregnancy and with my two boys, I was so sick and it started like immediately. With my first I threw up everyday usually more than a few times too for the first 6 months and I was nauseous and tired all day. With my second I was sick too but not as bad but I was a lot more nauseous and tired. I know I am still very early on and I know every pregnancy can be different but I can't help worrying because this pregnancy is so different than my last two. Has anyone else felt like this too?

  1. Yes I know exactly what you mean. I am pregnant with my 4th and the other 3 pregnancies weren't exactly the same but pretty similar. But with this one I showed really early on, had horrible morning sickness that lasts all day and night, extremely tired, and over the top emotional. I talked to my doctor and he says with each one things can be completely different and the more you have the more sensitive you get to these symptoms.  I took Bonine ( over the counter motion sickness pill) as directed to help ease the sickness enough to eat, didn't stress about the kids doing little things, and took as many naps as I can and I normally never sleep during the day.  I know it's crazy because you think I've done this before why is this one so different...it just happens.  But as long as the baby is healthy and happy I know I will get through it and things will be fine. If your children are old enough talk to them about how you don't feel 100% and could use their help here and there and to listen to mom. Oh and about the extreme morning sickness for me it has been true that if you are really sick it's a girl. I have 2 boys and 1 girl and 1 girl on the way and it seems to be true.

  2. They are all different. I am on my 3rd also and this one is different than my last two. At 5 weeks I didn't feel pregnant and I started feeling my sickest around 8 weeks.  And I continued to feel that way for ever it seemed. I am 16 weeks now and I feel pregnant now and the sickness is gone. Now replaced with tiredness!!

Try to get to your doctor soon so you can get an ultrasound and comfort you. That's what made me feel better.

  3. I am now 26 weeks with my 3rd child, and I have two boys as well.  I did not feel pregnant with this baby till about week 22.  I didn't get sick like the others, my b*****s didn't hurt, I wasn't as tired, etc.  I'd say it's normal.  If you have reason to be concerned like bleeding, cramping, or something like that give your doctor a call.  Otherwise, sit back and enjoy it....because you will start feeling pregnant at some point and it all sets in too quickly!

    Best wishes!!!

EDIT - Oh!  And everyone will tell you "maybe it's a girl!"  Well if my cards mean anything - I'm having a 3rd boy ;)

  4. With my 1st, I was sick right away.  With my 2nd, I didn't feel pregnant until about the 8th week and then I was sick almost all the way through.  Good luck!

  5. This is my first so I can't tell you from personal experience, but I can tell you what my mom told me about hers.

Her first (my oldest brother) she said was the perfect pregnancy

Her second (my middle brother) she said she was sick from the moment she conceived to the day she gave birth

Her final one (me) She said I was an average pregnancy, pretty much by the book of what you would expect.

We all were born healthy and happy, except my middle brother, my mom says it looked like he was in a fight when he was born all scratched up and mad looking, I have seen the pictures its kinda funny looking, but that was because he was also 2 weeks late.

  6. Ohhh do not declare victory yet!

I was the same way, my 2 first pregnancies horrible, horrible!

My 3rd I was great, eating everything, with lots of energy... until like the 9th week!! Then it was downhill from there, I felt like c**p everyday, that one turned out to be worst than my 2 previous ones... but in all fairness I was pregnant with twins.

    Congrats!

  7. I am also 5 weeks, and i feel the EXACT same way. Just exhausted and emotional. Not that I'm wishing for sickness, but i know what you mean. It feels like its not normal to not be nauseous. But, I did read on webmd.com that morning sickness is in no way linked to a healthy, or unhealthy pregnancy. Phew! Good Luck to you and me!

  8. I bet you will be feeling much more in about a week:)

  9. Maybe this one is a girl.  They say that sometimes your sickness differences have to do with the s*x of the baby.  I wouldn't be bummed out that I wasn't puking all the time.  Give it another month.

  10. Ok im pregnant with my first right now.

    And i have Hyperemesis Gravadurm.

you should look more into that on google.

Its serve morning sickness adn you feel as if you cant do anything.

im 22weeks pregnant and i still feel that way.

its started early on with me also.

    dont worry :)

    and congrats && good luck

  11. You are right, they are all different. My pregnancy with my 2 oldest sons was tiring. I had nausea, couldn't eat a thing, lost weight for 7 months and went through really quick labors. With my 3rd son, it was completely different, no nausea, no weight loss, a I was in labor for 14 hours. Big difference. As well, with my girls, I was always sleepy and had no energy. Didn't happen like this with the boys. As the previous stated, you may just be pregnant with a girl. That would be a treat. Don't worry yourself as this could just cause complications. As long as you have no miscarriage symptoms, relax.

  12. First of all, congrats on the pregnancy! I have been pregnant 5 times, and each one was very different. I don't think there is anything to worry about. (I know, easier said than done! LOL) Anyways, like you said you are very early, so you may still experience some morning sickness later on. For now, just consider yourself lucky! And I know it's probably an old wives tale, but they say pregnancies with boys and girls are different, so maybe you are having a little girl this time :) I was opposite. I was much sicker with my girls than my boys. Good luck!

  13. Every pregnancy is totally different like you said - that is simply the answer.

No 2 will be the same.
