So I need to know how to make the earth a cleaner place?

I need help with my art homework which require me to think of tips to make the earth a cleaner place. I thought of: Do not litter, Take public transport when possible and about smoking to help clear the air. Now I need TWO more. Help me please?

-Recycle!

-Reduce, Reuse, Recycle...the whole triangle

-Don't pollute the water buy pouring dangerous things such as gases or oils down the drain

-Use less water!

-Plant trees! Lots and lots of trees.

-Clean up the area around your house and street and pick up all the litter.

A really good thing to do to make the world cleaner is to compost your vegetable matter, thus taking it out of landfills.  When you compost, you turn garbage into gold.  The nutrients that are formed from your composted waste make excellent fertilizer and soil conditioner for your lawn or flower beds, or even for growing your own vegetables.

If you grow your own garden and use rainwater to irrigate it, you manage to eat locally, thus reducing the non renewable energy that goes into keeping your family fed.  Using rainwater keeps your soil free of chemical additives like salt and chlorine that are often added to municipal drinking water supplies.  Planting anything is a good way to turn CO2( carbon dioxide) into O2(oxygen) as plants take in CO2 and expel O2 in exchange. You could even vermi-compost if you live in an apartment.  You can find out all about these two types of composting at the links below.
