Question:

So I stepped on my digital camera....?

I got a Kodak V1003 for christmas. A few weeks ago I stepped on it. It still turns on, make the ding noise and everything and appears to still take pictures. However, the screen on the back is now white, with a black shape on it....looks like ink or something....and a crack. But the crack isn't on the actual screen. looks to be inside maybe? Anyone know if this is fixable, and if it's worth it to pay to be fixed. I don't know if I can send it to Kodak to be fixed or if it would be cheaper to take it to a camera store. Or if I should just spend the couple hundred for a new one. Thanks!

  1. Unfortunately, that means your cameras LCD screen is cracked & would have to be replaced.  It will be cheaper for you to buy a new camera rather than trying to get it repaired as this won't be covered under the manufactures warranty.  Hope this helps...

  2. You could go to the store you bought it from and ask them if they could fix it. Take your recipt with you but, only if you still have your warranty. If they can't fix it they'll replace it with a new one...

Hope I help and Good Luck! : )

  3. new one

  4. it would be more practical to take it to a camera store if your getting it fixed, when i broke mine every store around had the same price, so i guess the price is fixed. but they wanted 100bucks, which at that point was more than the camera was worth, so you might be better off just getting a new one.
