Well my birthday is coming up in may. I'm planning on going to a bar and restaurant with some friends. My birthday is on a school day, monday! But my boyfriend wants to throw me a party on the saturday before. Of course theres going to be drinking, but im wondering if the waiters will serve me drinks 1-2 days before I'm actually at the LEGAL age of drinking?

And yes i know, sometimes they ask for id and sometimes they dont....... but im just curious.

  1. No. The waiters could get fired for that. No joke. Don't do that.

  2. you could try.... but most places wont even let you IN the building unless your of legal drinking age... if youre already thinking about trying it im fairly sure you'll do it no matter what answers you get here! id try too! especially since, youre right, some places dont ask for ID they just assume! party it up girl... hope you find that loop-hole!

  3. They are NOT going to care. You'll be illegal, and if you are served, not only you get into trouble, but the location gets fined, bigtime. I don't think it's smart to leave it up to chance whether they ask for id or not... wait til you're legal.

Hi from Saskatoon! (19 is legal age)

  4. Actually, you have to be 21 to be of legal drinking age. You can buy beer at 18. However, if you are at a restaurant/bar, unless you are with an adult who says its okay for you to drink and will pay for it, you will not be served beer. Besides you have school two days later. Do you want to be recovering from a hangover? I don't think so.

  5. You are taking a chance by doing this.  If they find out you aren't 18, they'll throw you out, plain and simple.  Why not celebrate the following weekend instead.  Then you can relax and enjoy yourself.  Your boyfriend should know better!
