she said that I'm getting xrays next time I come. I've had my braces for 1 1/2 years.

why are they taking xrays? I'm still wearing rubber bands.

will I get the braces off soon?

hmm im not sure why you need x-rays. maybe theres a small problem or maybe you will get them off soon and they need them for the fitting of the retainer. next time you go to the orthodontist ask them why you needed x-rays as they are the only ones who can really tell u y u need them. maybe ask your mum or whoever took you there because maybe the orthodontist mentioned something to her.

I've heard it's dangerous to get x-rays while having braces. I have braces and they wouldn't take mine b/c they said I have braces.

They're checking your progress to see if the treatment is working for you so they can adjust it to work best for you.

It sounds like they want to see if you got cavities while the braces were on.... if you brushed really well you will probably be fine...it sounds like its just routine

Orthodontists usually do x rays at some point with the braces to make sure that everything is good and that your teeth are moving, It doesn't necessarily mean your gonna get them off unless your teeth look straight and your almost done paying. But dont worry its probably just routine

The same thing happened to me.  Not only do they like to keep updated files on their patients, but if you haven't had your wisdom teeth taken out yet, this helps them keep an eye on that, too.
