So Im watching the yankees game right now and...

Question

i was wondering when the yankees announcer announces the players name how come after that they say just the number for example.

Now batting number 25 Mark Texiera and then they go back and say number 25. Someone help me out here.

No sure.  all announcers have their own style.  angles are going to kill them 2 zip and it is going to keep going.......

its just the new guys style for instance wen i visited  philly the anouncer sez #6 yea i sed #6 ryyannn howard

I noticed that too.  It is interesting how differnt PA annoucers do different things

I don't know who this new guy is, but I don't like him. Nothing personal, but when I watch a game at Yankee Stadium, I want to hear the classic voice of Bob Sheppard. I hope Bob Sheppard gets healthy and comes back soon. The Yankee Stadium experience isn't the same without The Voice of God announcing the batters.
