So Is She to dish out revenge in Best Odds @ oddschecker.com Handicap at Yarmouth
Best Odds @ oddschecker.com Handicap is to be staged at Yarmouth on Tuesday, June 5th. The class 6 meeting is planned to be kicked off at 18:05 GMT.
The 1m2f21y event has attracted a dozen quality entries and the names of the confirmed participants are: Sky Diamond, So Is She, Market Puzzle, Coupland Lass, Camera Shy, Young Jackie, Avon Supreme, General Tufto, The Ducking
Stool, Phoenix Flame, g*y Gallivanter and Rasteau.
Five of the aforementioned runners contested the 1m2f handicap at Yarmouth in late May, when Sky Diamond was undisputed champion. But things are unlikely to pan out so well again, thus Sky Diamond’s chances of winning are not
absolute today.
So Is She, who was runner-up that day, will look to take revenge of her trouncing and seize the first position today. The four-year-old has been running well consistency since the start of this season, but victories are not
coming to her way regularly.
Her last success came at Wolverhampton, where she thumped her opponents in the 32RedPoker.com Apprentice Handicap in April. Alan Bailey’s trainee struggled to find her momentum before she did a fantastic job last time around.
The dashing filly troubled Sky Diamond all the way through, but was unlucky to miss the first position by one and a quarter lengths. Yarmouth’s surface is slightly softer this time and it will be a huge advantage for So Is She.
Hence, the filly has a great chance of grabbing the first spot today. However, she will have to perform out of her skin to outpace Sky Diamond, who is full of spirit following a terrific success.
Out of others, Market Puzzle seems to be an interesting candidate. The horseracing fans are yet to see him opening his account this season. In his last appearance at Yarmouth, Mark Brisbourne’s trainee ended up third on the
table.
Despite the fact that there are plenty of talented runners in the line-up, the real clash will be between Sky Diamond and So Is She.
The latter gets our vote, because she is h**l-bent to put her campaign back on the winning ways after a recent defeat. Good luck to all runners.
