So Josh Carr wants to return to Port Adelaide.....Why? ?

Question

Josh Carr left Port to play at Freo along with his brother Matthew. Now that Matthew is retired, Josh wants to come back to Port Adelaide.

He gave his reasons in the local paper over here during the week.

Family reasons - was what was quoted. I know he is a local WA boy (my daughter went to the same local school & my son played nippers footy against him).

Maybe he married a South Aussie girl - I don't know. I think he enjoyed himself far more while with Port than with Fremantle. He has probably still got some good mates there. Let's face it - he hasn't got long left at the elite level.

Who knows Big Kev maybe a last ditch grab for cash or some obscure reason,personally ive never liked or rated either of the carr brothers and with josh heading into the twilight of his career i doubt wheather port would take him.............but who knows it is port after all :)

Does he, i didnt know! I think that he may wish to return because he had so much success there yet at fremantle he isnt having as much sucess, with the club performing not that well through the years that he has been there, plus he has had some tribunal problems over the last couple of years - he may just feel that his time at Port Adelaide influenced his career more positvely then his one at freo, plus he may feel that at Port Adelaide he may have more of a chance to play better and in a premiership.

Josh is from Perth, hence 'he returned to Perth to play with his brother'. He probably won't come back to Port for 2 reasons; 1, He has business and family interests in Perth. and 2, Port shouldn't want him back for his age (they steer to youth) and a statement to future people wanting to leave and return when they want (Port need to show they are in control ie. Nick Bl**dy Stevens). Oh, and plus, if you can't star at Freo then your not needed at your own club. Freo has so many stars but what have they, as a team, achieved.

He wanted to play with his Brother at Freo, now that he's gone he wants to go back to where the rest of his family is.

Do you think Port would want him back? Mind you, they could do with someone with talent but Josh wasn't all that good anyway was he?

cos hes finally realising what a disgraceful team freo are...they always make excuses , mark harvey is an idiot...he sounded like a stupid dumb baby when he was saying he has 16 players out? like h**l u do thats ur best team playing every week moron lol god...u don't see west coast complaining they only have 24 players to pick from the last 3 weeks....shape up or shape out..but i guess "complaining" is the freo culture.
