Question:

So Liverpool are "lucky" to steal a win, yet when Man Utd do it...?

it shows a "class team" can still get the points whilst playing badly. Whenever they stole wins last season with late goals Man Utd. fans would say always say that.

So why can't the same be said for Liverpool? To steal another line off the Man Utd fans, "just imagine when they come right, they'll win by even more".

Seems like double standards to me.

  1. Doing it once in a while shows a class team, because they can do well on their bad days.

Doing it day in, day out like Liverpool do, however, doesn't show a class team as they can't all be bad days, without the team being a plainly bad team!

  2. sounds like sour grapes to me bud .. we have people (mainly liverpool and arsenal fans) dissin our boys all the time .... but we take it on the chin..its called banter as long as its not abusive.. of which this is not abusive.. can i ask you a Q.. why single out the united fans ?? is it because we are bigger in numbers or are you just being bias towards us ??

  3. you are 100% correct!and i see that the utd fans are already defending their own ground-out results and saying that it is OK for them to do it!and its not just once or twice that it has happened either!its been happening since the start of the premiership!!

  4. Looks like we are going to hear this chorus all season long:

"A class team can still get the points whilst playing badly."

    YAWN.

  5. oh definately double standards. Most United fans are glory hunters and nothing more, so speaking to them about football is pretty much usless

  6. i never said nothing about Liverpool "stealing" a win..

    Infact i luved Gerrard's goal.

  7. Liverpool is not lucky, they are better than man utd

  8. You are right, it is a double standard. Morinho's Chelsea were always boring everyone rigid while winning 1-0.

Thing is though, it can't go on. I am quite apprehensive about Villa on Sunday, especially without Gerrard. O'Neill would love to put one over on Rafa and unless we start playing better football, using the whole of the pitch, not just the central third we could be in trouble.

  9. Liverpool scored just one against St.Liege. Meanwhile, ManUtd had these 1-0 results against solid EPL clubs which have better players than some central european club!!!

  10. It depends. Problem is Liverpool are an overrated team and three games in a row of scraped wins does raise an eye brow. True what U say abt ManU fans tho.

  11. i know exactly what you're saying, but the fundamental difference is when chelsea arsenal and MANCHESTER UNITED grind out results and "steal " wins they have either been a one off or a lucky incident to turn the match.

AND REMEMBER THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION

liverpool have played 4 competitive matches this season and not only have they been lucky to win 3 and draw 1, but they played each of those matches badly, do you know what "an unforced error is" well liverpool must be top of the stats league on unforced errors so far this season. this only good thing that has come out of your performances is the quality of goals all 4 have been decent goals, but in general your overall play has been atrocious.

  12. deep down you know the truth
