Does anyone else love the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy series?

I read them over and over when i first mis-guidely picked up a book with an oddly shapped bit of wool on the front cover and never looked back when i saw the words

"i could never get the hang of thursdays"

Pure genius.

Did anyone participate in World Towel Day? Me and my friend were the only ones here in Bexley (kent).

Yeah, it's a funny series... but no, I didn't participate in the Towel Day event.

Yeah, we both sould be ashamed that we read them more than once. Didn't know of World Towel Day, but always carrying one IS a good idea. Loved the book, hated the TV series and movie, the print just didn't translate visually except in a cerebral sense.  Also liked Catch22 in print but not the movie, same deal. Again liked the original novel I Am Ledgend but  the movie was unregognizable.

I love Doug Adams work... I have only read hitchhikers, but I do intend to read the other books that he has written. His unique humor is so brilliant. Lol, my favorite part of the book was where he mentioned something about highly inteligent shades of the colour blue. So random and rediculous that its hilarious.
