So Nurses, If You're Injured?

If you get injured outside of work, like you break something, can't walk, will they put you on medical leave or fire you because it happened outside of work? I'm not sure how this whole thing works. What if you get injured a lot?

  1. They can not legally fire you all they can do is put you on medical leave. If they did fire you, you could sue them for discrimination.

  2. If you are unable to work, then you apply for disability. It depends on the injury, but there are a lot of different jobs that Nurses can do that don't depend on you walking. It is the Nurse's Assistants that typically do the most physical work and have the most problems when they are injured.
