Governor Palin belongs to an independent, nondenominational Protestant church called the Church of the Rock.  It has been characterized by one religion reporter from a Tennessee newspaper as being closer to a Charismatic church than anything else.  I doubt the Governor "speaks in tongues".

I have no problem with her faith.  I do have a problem with her 100% anti-choice, anti-s*x education, anti-g*y, self-righteous and one-sided religious agenda, which has no place in governmental policy.

She's a token to appease the religious right and an outside-the-box woman who can keep Biden from pounding on her because he can't patronize the rookie. Some of her selection is smart but only for the short-term. When it dies down, it will backfire because she is too limited in her political experience to be a heartbeat away. If McCain were younger, that might not be as much of a concern, so the counter argument about Obama's lack of experience is only in the mix because McCain is so old.

Pentecostal is an umbrella term used to cover many types of Christian churches from Baptist to Assembly of God.
