You must be young.  There have been other VP's besides d**k Cheney, you know.....And I can't think of a less apt comparison, really.

No Sarah Palin is not the next Cheney. Cheney chose himself. McCain had lists since May at least and Palin was on them. To me, it was a huge wish that she be picked, but a long shot. The only thing that Obama had was a Clinton standoff that turned into an embarassing kowtow.
