they will not run out of tires they have 800 more tires and people still have 2 or 3 sets and then 40 cars have 5 more sets... and if they have to they could take nationwide tires i just have never heard of it ever happening

Mike Helton just stated they gonna break out the tires for Pocono...at $1,800 per set.....geezzzzzzzzz, such a disappointing race..excuse me..tire test!

Goodyear has brought in the tires for Pocono to use if they run out. But, the catch here is if 1 team runs out and needs to use the Pocono tires, ALL the teams have to switch.

Racing the Pocono tire opens up a whole new set of issues. The Pocono tire is a faster tire (different compound) and this will cause the cars to run about 5 MPH faster with higher RPMs. The engine builders are concerned about the engines lasting under the extra RPMs.
