Jeff Lacy ran his mouth and then got destroyed with one hand:

B Hop ran his mouth like a b*tch and then got beat on his own turf

So who wants next game? who wants to run their mouth for months on end - then get owned lol.

naw i'm just playing, just returning the favour after the stick you gave us after the Hatton/Mayweather fight.

i really would like to see Calzaghe V Roy Jones Jr, that would be a great fight,

who do you guys think would win that one?

  1. Calzaghe-Jones is an overdue fight..... four or five years overdue to be exact. On paper it would look like a good fight to have, but I'm not sold on Jones being back. I really don't think Calzaghe would benefit too much, if he fought Jones. If Calzaghe was to defeat Jones, then people will say that just another old guy to add on his resume. If Calzaghe was to lose to Jones, then I would probably take away from his career and many will forget about what he did against Hopkins.

Personally, I think and would like to see Calzaghe fight Kelly Pavilk at super middleweight or take on Jermain Taylor at either super middleweight or light heavyweight. I would even be interested in seeing Calzaghe taking on Chad Dawson. I think those three men would be more rewarding for Calzaghe, if he could get by any of them.

  2. jones jr would win hands down. to much power and speed, even at his age. Calzaghe got exposed in the b hop fight. plus im from  p cola so you know ive got to go with the home team.

  3. I think Mayweather should fight him and beat him the h**l up

  4. i cant beleave joe calzaghe has not been locked up for GBH on a OAP why on earth didn't no one ring the police what is this country coming to!!!

  5. I dont think i would call a split decision a "whooping"...How did you like that knock down in the first?

  6. the only fighters cal should be fighting are Taylor, pavlik or Dawson period and maybe even glen Johnson

  7. AMIR KHAN VS FLOYED MAYWEATHER I THINK AMIR WLL KNOCK HIM OUT,, CALAZAGHE PUNCHES LIKE A GYAL<< PROPER SLAPS THEY ARE

  8. Kelly Pavlik would knock Joe smooth out. Don't look for Pavlik to run his mouth though - he lets his fists do the talking. Speaking of running your mouth......

  9. get lost.. Bhop knocked him down and landed the cleaner punches through out in a fight that ended in a SPLIT decision... at 43 years of age.. a prime Bhop would have destroyed him.. Same goes for RJJ.. calzaghe will beat him only because he is 40 years old. Calzaghe is a great fighter but he will never get any credit beating these legends because they are over the hill and way past their prime

  10. Oh so you seen that fight too huh? I was gonna post almost the same question but never got around to it. To be honest I wasn't a huge Calzaghe fan until recently. I haven't ever really seen a boxer quite like him. Dude has mean power. I would like to see Roy Jones Jr and him box as well. I think it would be a good fight. They are both pretty cocky so I think it will be amusing as well. I like Roy Jones Jr. but I would like to see Calzaghe win. My money is on Calzaghe, even though I'm just honestly not sure, but it will defiantly be a match I won't miss (if it happens). And just to touch on something else...the Calzghe/Hopkins fight....I do think Hopkins was just trying to regain himself after the "below the belt" hit he "claimed" hurt so bad. I give him credit for puttin up as good as a fight that he did as his age but Calzghe clearly fought a better match (I was going for Hopkins in that fight to be honest) Good post...getting a star from me!

  11. Calzaghe,i hope but i think jones is good too.

  12. Lacy was overrated. BHop lost, but it was close. Hatton is a tough fighter, but does not have enough skill to fight with some of the top fighters at that weight, it's a loaded division. Roy Jones has not been good in years, the Trinidad fight is a bad indicator because he is done too. Calzaghe would woop him badly. It's a tough call, Calzaghe took the best challenge he had and now there is really nobody else that will stage a good fight for him. I am an American, but I love boxing and will admit that Calzaghe should go down as one of the best all time. But, other then BHop, he has not beaten any other great fighters(Kesler was impressive, but he doesn't rate as great) Unfortunately, Calzaghe will never really get his due because he didn't have the quality of competition. I hope someone comes out of the woodwork soon, I definitely want to see another good Calzaghe fight, but I can't imagine who can give him a challenge.

  13. oh god look at all these guys moaning ,,calzaghe this calzaghe that ..the fight was saturday ,,get over it ,its in the past now

  14. Ever notice how these Calzaghe apologists don't seem to have  any yearning to fight Kelly Pavlik?  Or Jermain Taylor?

Old guys like Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins, they can't wait to see.  Curious, innit?

Roy Jones would definitely perform better than B-Hop, and Calz only escaped with a split.  Still think Calz will beat Jones, which is why I'd like to see a fight against Pavlik, or, if Calz is reluctant, Jermain Taylor.

  15. Calzaghe will beat Roy Jones but who cares about that fight....Calzaghe is a very good fighter but he will never win over any american fight fans with slap boxing.... If Lacy is a fighter you look at as an example of who you beat, then the list is not that impressive.... i agree he should fight Pavlik Miranda or Taylor next but it looks like Calzaghe will play the Mayweather role and Pick JOnes Jr , Trinidad, or someother name fighter with diminished skillls......... but to say Calzaghe whupped BHop is pretty funny but then again im not a fan of Slap Boxing

  16. Calzaghe should fight... THE TICK!

    SPOOOOOOON!

  17. tough to say, jones win against trinidad means nothing, trinidad hasn't meant much since 2001, and calzaghe's big wins have been impressive, but jones doesn't fight like any of them, so i'd say this fight is a quick but slightly faded jones keeping distance and trying to win rounds by showboating, and a slightly cautious calzaghe (he doesnt want a repeat of round 1 versus hopkins, he knows jones has more power and is quicker, also much younger) throwing around 700-800 punches and winning a decision off of 12 extremely hard to score rounds
