So Yeon Ryu can shine at CME Group Titleholders
South Korean So Yeon Ryu is one of the key Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) stars who are able to rattle rivals in any event, but the upcoming CME Group Titleholders is going to
test her skills more intensely.
Given her performance in the recent LPGA tournaments, it appears that the South Korean star is going to whip up a great impression on her rivals and fans as she has vowed to atone for lapse
she made in some of the events in the second half of the 2012 season.
The CME Group Titleholders, which was inaugurated last year, is going to feature a competent roster loaded with almost all the big names on the Tour.
Some of the key players who are likely to shine this week include current world number one Yani Tseng, Cristie Kerr and Stacy Lewis of the United States.
Ryu has notched up a total of two LPGA titles in her professional career so far, with the latest at Jamie Farr Toledo Classic 2012 that saw her subdue American Angela Stanford by seven strokes.
Commentators said that Ryu, despite making mistakes in recent tournaments, is being viewed as one of the hot favourites to win the CME Group Titleholders 2012.
Sharing her thoughts while speaking to the LPGA Tour on Wednesday, the rising star said that her fans’ expectations have been quite high, but she is trying to make sure that she does well
no matter how tough the season-ending tournament may get.
She said her performance has been satisfactory in the current season, having won one title. So, her current aim is to add another victory to her profile.
“Actually, really big thing is last year I won the U.S. Women's Open so everybody expectation was so huge.  I felt some anxiety because everybody really focus on me, everybody expect other
win,” said Ryu who currently ranks 9th in the Women’s World Golf Rankings.
“But I couldn't win any tournament after U.S. Women's Open at the LPGA, even at the KLPGA, so I really wanted to make another win.  Then in Jamie Farr I shot 62 that I finally got my trophy
and then I'm relieved”.
