So You Think, Havre de Grace and Uncle Mo to put on the show at the Breeders’ Cup Classic on 5th November
The Breeders’ Cup Classic Grade 1 at Churchill Downs on 5th November will be a spectacle between thirteen horses. The event has presented an opportunity for the interaction and healthy competition between the British horseracing stars and the
American rulers of the track as it does each year.
Besides the working and resting of the horses, yet another factor that is crucial for the end result of any race at all is the selection of an appropriate jockey who does adequate justice to the caliber of the horse that he is riding.
Aidan O’Brien’s So You Think, will be in partnership with Ryan Moore for the Breeders’ Cup Classic and will break from the fifth stall, eight on the left hand side and four towards the right is a pretty reasonable spot to begin off with.
Five down the line, So You Think will compete the American entry of Larry Jones, Havre de Grace who will be ridden by Ramon A Dominguez. The pair will unleash from the tenth stall which will set him a gate apart from the favourite of the race, Uncle Mo,
who will be parked in the twelfth gate on the track. Todd Pletcher’s trained Uncle Mo will have J R Velazquez aboard.
To shoot from the last trap on the track will be William Mott’s under charge To Honour And Serve with J Lezcano to guide him through the race.
The rest of the lot for the Classic includes Prayer For Relief, Flat Out, Drosselmeyer, Ruler On Ice, Ice Box, Rattlesnake Bridge, Game On Dude, Stay Thirsty and Headache.
Havre de Grace was first a possibility for the Breeders’ Ladies Cup Classic, but was later withdrawn keeping in view her remarkable performance throughout along with the fact of leaving behind an all male lineup in the Woodward Stakes on 3rd September
at the Saratoga Race Course.
The main show for the Classic will be put on by So You Think, Havre de Grace and Uncle Mo as the three share the compatibility of outperforming quite frequently. Narrowing down the thrill, Havre de Grace and Uncle Mo are just one gate apart while the two
share a farther distance from So You Think.
The tactics that these contestants will put up with their jockeys for claiming the Classics will unfold on 5th November at Churchill Downs.
