My family and I were wondering...

Where do the winners/ standouts on So You Think You can Dance make money after they are through with the show and their tour???

Winners and standouts on shows such as American Idol, another FOX hit talent show, obviously make bank from selling albums and millions from sold out concerts... etc...

Where is the Dancer's income primarily derived?

Many of the dancers have gone on to dance in or found dance companies (Nick Lazzarini, Melody and Craig, Season 1 in Evolution Dance Company), they've released instructional dance videos (Blake, season 1, Ivan and Travis, season 2, Benji and Heidi, season 2) , they tour as professional dancers (Ashlee Nino- Hannah Montana tour- Season 2) they tour with dance conventions as professional teachers and choreographers or teach on the faculty of dance studios (  Nick, season 1,Ivan, Allison, Travis, season 2, Lacey, Danny season 3, ), and also act as professional choreographers (Blake, season 1, Travis, Benji, Heidi, Dmitri, Natalie, season 2). Benji is co-producing and writing a dancing movie and is working on several possible television projects. Danny Tidwell has started a new magazine about dance called MOVMNT. This even just a short list of what they have gone on to do and how they make a living.
