So You Think makes it to the world top 10
The racehorse gave some spectacular performances in the spring racing season this year and thus has earned a spot in the world top 10 ratings. This has happened for the first time that an Australian-bred racehorse has been considered in the world’s best
10, ever since the commencement of the world rankings in the year 2004.
According to the latest rankings of the latest World Thoroughbred Racehorses published by International Federation of Horse racing Authorities, So You Think has been given a rating of 125 and thus has been placed on the 10th place on the world
list.
The ranking is dominated by Harbinger with a mark of 135. The racehorse has the credit of winning the Group One King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes (a 2414 metres event run at Ascot in July) by a distance of 11 lengths.
The talented thoroughbred, So You Think, claimed four straight victories in the Group One events that took place in Melbourne. Moreover, he also gave impressive performances in the Underwood Stakes, Cox Plate, Yalumba Stakes and Mackinnon Stakes. Moreover,
the racehorse also finished the prestigious Melbourne Cup in the third place.
The bay coloured stallion was sired by High Chaparral out of Triassic and was foaled on the 10th of November 2006. He has earned AU $ 5,284,850 under the training of Adian O’ Brians.
Black Caviar, the talented mare, has also earned a spot in the list and has coupled with Kong Kong’s Sacred Kingdom with the top rankings for sprinters. Sacred Kingdom has a rating of 122, while another sprinter thoroughbred Starspanglebanner has a rating
of 121.
Black Caviar, also referred to as the Super Mare was invincible during the spring. This took her career record to eight victories from as many racing events that she started, which also includes a splendid victory in the 1200 metre Group One Patinack Farm
Classic that took place at Flemington by four lengths.
The mare runs under the training of Peter Moody. Her rating determines her the third highest ranked female thoroughbred currently, with Zenyatta and Goldikova in the first and second places. These two American thoroughbred fillies have the same rating as
So You Think.
Zipping, the evergreen galloper who will be conteding the 2400 metre Sandown Classic on Saturday and Whobegotyou have earned a rating of 120 and thus have been places in the 38th position in the world rankings of thoroughbred racehorses.
