big whoop! as u can see in bbc news, i lump of ice (20sq km) has broken off....and. why is this even in the news, does it actually effect of have any meaning? anyway your opinions please. spank you.

  1. This pack of ice braking is evidence that it is thinning. And thinner ice implies hotter water.

    This is a manifestation of global warming (irrespective of what is causing it, it is happening).

    Big whoop? That depends. Do you live near a cost? Then get ready to eventually move inland or try to devolve back to a fish.

  5. when glacial ice falls off into the ocean, it melts faster. thus, making the sea levels rise... which is a big concern for cities near the coast.

    also, i can only assume that if enough ice falls into the ocean, it changes the ocean's temperature, which affects ocean currents, which in turn affects our climate patterns.
