So am i hired at hooters or what?

Ok so i went in for my second interview today at hooters and the asst managger said?

they have 42 girls on staff and they want to bring new people on but they have to let some girls go first, and i should hear back from the manager by the end of the week, do you think he was just sayin that to be nice or do you think he wants to hire me he said he liked me, and i allready met with the gm the night before, also how long should i wait to call back

Are you sure you want to work for an outfit that hires and fires people like they're replaceable parts to be discarded with so little care for them as people?    

That sounds pretty dehumanizing.   Of course the restaurant's name pretty much implies that you're a piece of meat, so I guess I'm not surprised.

I wonder how long it will be before someone creates a chain called "Booters", for women who may not qualify for Hooters, but who are better endowed on their posteriors.

It could go either way. I think that if they didn't want to hire you they would have said so. And certainly with a second interview. Keep your fingers crossed.

Second interview is good. Maybe he is feeling you out. How bad do you want the job? Did you act really enthusiastic in the interview? Maybe he likes your looks but not sure about your commitment. He doesn't want someone who will quit in a few months. Call him and thank him for the interview, and tell him one more thing you forgot to mention in the interview. And mention how you really want this job -- maybe that is what he wants to hear before he hires you!

my niece worked at hooters and when she interviewed she was hired on the spot....of course she is drop dead gorgeous and has well.....the right equipment for the job if you know what i mean....but that's not to say your not...just letting you know how it went for her....good luck and hang in there they may call ya never know especially if your well" equipped "

He could have been saying that just to be nice, or that my be the situation. What ever the case he shouldn't be talking to you about firing or hiring of any  any employee other than you. But that's another problem all together. You should call back the next day around 10:30 a.m. before lunch starts and keep calling everyday till they tell you that you are hired or not, and if the asst. manger keeps giving you the run around call and talk to the GM and tell him how bad you want the job.

wow 42 girls?? thats a lot. anyways umm to be honest with you that kind of sounds like a copout to me because they are not 100 percent sure whether they want to hire you or not. i think it could go either way but i would still wait till the end of the week like she said and if they dont call back by then give them a ring. good luck!

Thats good, keep setting your standards high. The right place of employment will fall in your lap, or you will fall on theirs. Maybe try pole dancing.
