2 things that they keep talking against, but apparently are caving in on?

What is your take on this hypocritical dance thats going on?...where they talk against the war and say they want troops home but keep funding it, and talk against illegal spying on americans but are not capitulating and passing an expost facto law that legalizes any past law breaking....you know sort of like the burglar robbing the bank and then going to get a law passed saying that him robbing the bank is legal

  1. What more do you expect out of democrats?  That's why I'm voting for McCain.

  2. It's called Rep's breaking down and giving into the requests of the Dems so the bill woud pass.

  3. Yes, this is clearly indicated by their caving in and supporting both more funds for the war, as well as immunity for wiretapping by telecommunications companies. This bill passed the House today and is pending in the Senate. Instrumental was Steny Hoyer Dem Majority leader

  4. Bush whooped them again.

  5. unfortunately they are. A lot of the more moderate Democrats went along with the illegal wiretaps so it is no suprise that they want to make sure they are immune from any prosecution. At least with the Iraq war funding they will get the new GI bill passed so that when the soldiers come back they can actually get what was promised to them in comercials from the armed services.

  6. Well, I guess a trade-off is better than Bush using his infamous "veto pen" to avoid giving the Iraq war veterans the help they need when they get home.  I hate warantless searches and seizures ordered by this administration, though.  This country needs to be free of this President and begin the healing process, before he does any more damage to the Constitution.
