So cats ONLY have sweat glands in their paws? They don't sweat under their fur or anywhere else?

  1. Yes.

    They pant to keep cool. You dont usually see this as they are very tolerent to heat. Thats why they like to keep near a fire.

    If hot they will lay in a cool place, in the shade etc. But they will pant on very hot days.


  2. They also have them on their noses.On extremely hot days,or if the cat is stressed or has a fever,it will pant like a dog to cool itself off. This is why it's important to always have fresh water for your cats,and if they are outside,it's doubly important that you have a water source for them ,and bring them in when it is too hot. Better yet,keep them indoors all the time,as it is safer for them.
