Because it sure doesn't seem like anyone liked it...they want to know if all the speechwriters were busy on Palin's speech, and they forgot about Johnny.

Yah, yah, we all love the constant POW reminders, but did he have anything along the lines of POLICY to include in there? Not too much.

  1. I didn't.  Sure he talked about "change," but he did not talk about how he would actually bring about "change."  He only talked about what needs changed.  We all know what needs changed.  His speech lacked substance!  Also, he did distance himself from the GOP, but he did not distance himself from George Bush.  Now that makes 2 nights in a row where the Republican candidates failed to address the issues at hand!

  2. He doesn't have the glibness or sparkle of BO or Bill Clinton but he has truth, justice and the American Way on his side.  I look forward to having him and Sarah Palin in Washington ~ a whole lotta shakin' will be going on ~ and ALL for the GOOD! :)))))))

Yes, I like his speech a lot.  But, then, he reflects my values and work ethic.

  3. It was interesting... he left Palin to do his dirty work insulting Obama a couple of days ago, and then he got up there and presented his plans. Which, by the way, were badly explained. McCain is not a very inspiring speaker, and he seemed to alternate between mispronouncing words and squinting at the teleprompter.

Overall, a speech that sounds good on the surface, but if you listen closely is made up of lies.

  4. I did. I thought it was cunning, and showed exactly what he will do to better our country. Anyone who says they still don't know his plan obviously wasn't listening.

  5. I heard the beginning but then I started to get tired.

Actually, I think anyone who watched that speech can liken it to a sleeping pill.

  6. A lot of people liked it.

Since you obviously didn't, then you must believe it was good enough to pose a threat to the Messiah.

  7. Shocker but it seems like Barack supporters did not like it and McCain supporters did like it.  It is almost like it is split down party lines. :)

I will give Barack credit for being an inspiring human being. And that might be enough for the undecideds to vote for him. But I personally choose to vote for how I believe the government should be run regardless of the face attached to it.  Barack beats all for charisma, but charisma will only last the first 100 days.  Or until, for example, we suddenly have capital gains tax on profits for when you sell your home.  Little things like that make a big difference in the real world.  For all you 1040 EZ filers you might be singing Kumbaya let's vote for Barack but there is a reason Republicans are still Republican even after Bush.  And that reason is TAXES.

  8. You must be hard of hearing or don't understand English. He laid his plan out plain as day!

  9. His speech was interesting until I woke up!

  10. NO,pretty boring.

  11. Yes, I like it. But to be honest, I would rather have a president who will get things done rather than have a president who can only read a speech well. Guess I'm just practical that way.
