Singaporeans are considered well-off compared to its neighbours. The government is considered rich as it has a good reserves that helps to buffer us in times of difficulties.

Well, from what I see for these few years.....

Real rich - maybe 20%

Real poor - maybe 15%

Average - Extremely hard to estimate.....

some (% unknown) people in this class like to act to be Real rich or Real poor.

Q2. "gov is rich?"

As far as I am concerned.......

Take a lowerest rank "key man's" pay for example. Their 1 year salary is equal or more than my 10 years pay.

As for the gov org........

Recall how much $ they throw out of sg for the past 1 year...

Poor me, poor singaporean.

Generally Singapore is a fine city.....  The government has done a good job in maintaining a balance.  That is what a mama from my neighbourhood told me and he may be wrong.  haha......

When Singaporean are too rich, the government will come out with policies to take it back from the people as money becomes the root of all evil.  So policies such as ERP Gantry, increase GST and various fines will be imposed.

When Singaporean are too poor, the government will start to give rebates..... Eg, Singapore Share.  Beware! just like nothing in the world is free, when given once will be taken twice.  That is what they call the Casino theory

So what do you think?  Are they rich or poor?  Singaporeans will tell you soso lor!

As for the government, they are rich but can be richer...... So that they can protect the people in case of crisis.

But when real crisis come.......  How?  They say it is a global phenomenon
