  1. does being a "good parent" mean letting your kids do whatever they want whenever they want no matter what...?

no...of course not...but just "loving" your government or "having faith" isn't enough either....it means working...it means sacrifice....like being a good parent, it means sometimes pissing people off or taking the hard road instead of the easy one...

it means asking what you can do for your country (and countrymen) before asking them to act on your behalf...

  2. well you will only be able to stand for a few things alone . but the muslims believe we have no morals and that s*x is just a game for us.   they cover their women up.     you might want to learn what your enemy believes in,  so that you always end up on the right stand you take.

  3. it means you have to be Republican, just ask our supreme dopey leader

  4. According to the Republicans, that would depend entirely on which party is in power at the time.

Right now, that is the definition of patriotic.  When Bill Clinton was in power, that was the definition of treason.

    C'est la vie.

  5. No, and nobody ever said it did.

But being patriotic does not mean being blindly critical and against everything the government does, either.

It is about a love of country, which is more than the government; it is the people, the Constitution, the ideas of liberty and freedom, and the goodness of America.

  6. Patriotism is nationalism crossbred with tribalism and racism. It's the American disease.

  7. nope---thats just the neocon definition

  8. you love your country

  9. No, you dont have to follow blindly what the government does. To be patriotic is standing behind the ideals that the country was founded on.

  10. No it means you love your country enough to die for it. It means you love your country enough to speak up when it is doing wrong. It means you love your country, but do not fear or hate the country's enemies. It means you love your country enough to work on improving it.
